The Gift of Practical & Emotional Support! The only gift that any expecting Mama really needs!

Category:

Looking for the perfect gift for an expecting friend or loved one?

The “Your Modern Village Journal” is more than just a journal—it’s a comprehensive guide to navigating the emotional and practical challenges of pregnancy and postpartum life. With sections dedicated to mental wellness, goal setting, and creating a supportive village, it sets Mama up for a more enjoyable transition into Motherhood, whether its her first time or her tenth – preparation and self-awareness make all the difference.

The only Pregnancy & Postpartum journal that is combined with a Meal Train!

Not only is this Journal physically beautiful but the gestures that it carries will make a huge positive impact. A meal train is a thoughtful way to support a new Mama during the early days of motherhood. By organizing a schedule where friends & family provide home-cooked meals, organise a night of takeaway to be delievered to her door, or offer practical help around the home, its allows Mama to focus on bonding with her baby, resting, and recovering. Beyond the practical help, a meal train also brings a sense of care and connection, reminding here that she’s surrounded by a vaillage that values her well-being. This small gesture can make a significant difference in her overall postpartum experience.

MAMA WILL NEED SUPPORT!!M The truth is, YOU, along with the rest of her friends and family truly do want to help, but they might not know how or might hesitate to step in. With this journal, those that are eager to lend a hand, will have the opportunity to do so, in a way that benefits Mama the best. And don’t worry—we’ve taken all the guesswork out of Mama asking for help. The journal includes perfectly crafted invites she can use to easily ask her network for the kind of support that would truly makes a difference to her. It’s a gift that not only shows you care but also empowers her to embrace motherhood HER WAY.
The Journal itself, with the guided prompts and mindset tools, is a beautiful way to respect & nuture her transfomation in this period. But it is the VILLAGE this Journal creates that makes it a total game-changer. As a Mama who struggled to ask for help, when I REALLY needed it – I made it my mission to make it EASY for expecting Mamas to speak up for themselves and CREATE the support network that may not always naturally form as it should.
This is a beautiful gift, and one, that with a small amount of effort on your part – will make a giant impact on your loved one’s journey. We find lots of friends and family are loving to gift this as part of a Baby Shower or Baby Sprinkle with some very emotional reactions <3

What’s inside?

  • Parenthood Goals – a space to journal about what lies ahead. Giving her the time to slowdown and really think about what she envisions motherhood to look like.
  • Postpartum Mental Wellness – getting real for a moment and helping to prepare strategies Mama can turn too if she finds she needs it.
  • Your Village – this is the beautiful section filled with letters of support, and the organized help of her village. This is the section that includes her Meal Train set up, and Letters from your Village.
  • My Little One – the reason this journal exists! A space to capture everything about her little one.
  • My Birth Story – Labour is a beautiful, emotional, and sometimes – equally traumatic experience. Every mother has a birth story, easy or hard, long, or short – journalling this story is both beautiful & therapeutic.
  • Our Feeding Journey – this section is designed to help Mama set some goals & put strategies in place for how she sees herself feeding bubba, it also arms her with steps to take to gain knowledge and support BEFORE she is in the depths of trying to breastfeed at 2am on her first night out of the hospital. For some, feeding is easy, for most – it takes a lot of practise and knowledge. This is a safe space for Mama to set some goals, learn some strategies and know where to go for help.
  • Weekly goal setting and reflections for the first 12 weeks – Mama won’t have a lot of time on her hands during this period, so this section has been designed to get straight to the point and help her reflect on the important things & set goals for the following week.
  • Letters to My Baby / Letters to Myself / Letters to My Partner – it is proven that putting pen to paper is a therapeutic release, it is also often a way to say more than you would verbally. Taking the time to write it out is a beautiful way to help ease the mental load.
  • Have your partner write a letter to you – one of my favourite sections. ASKING her other half, to journal on their experience over the first 12 weeks.(and beyond). It helps to encourage communication that can sometimes be strained during the early days of parenting.
  • Heavily researched and deliberately placed thought-provoking journal prompts – designed to release and heal in a positive manner.

Every Mother deserves safety during pregnancy, labour & beyond.

$5 from every journal sold will be donated to the Aminata Maternal Foundation.

A foundation I feel connected too. Their founder, Aminate Conteh-Biger started this foundation after her birth experience, which was much like my own with my daughter – one that, without access to our high quality healthcare, safe equipment & doctors – would have resulted in neither us or our babies being here today.

You can read more about this wonderful foundation here: https://aminatamaternalfoundation.org/

Motherhood should mark a beginning, not an end

I received this as a gift before my second baby, and I cant tell you how much it meant to me. Postpartum with my first was chaos and I didnt know how to ask for help. This really helped me alot during the first few weeks but even more so, helped me to be able to ask for the help i needed after that. Thank you for this beautiful journal!!

Everyone is loving being able to put pen to paper and give their words of love and support. Such an incredible gift. Cant wait to give it to her next week.

Bought this for myself! Im pregnant with my 2nd and everyone keeps asking what I need. The only thing i need is support as Im a little nervous about juggling 2 under 2! When I saw this pop up it, i bought it immediately. Going through the process of setting up my own support now and its so easy! The Journal is stunning too. Wish i had something like this for my first, even for the prep through Journaling. Its all the stuff you dont think about, but really need too. Love it
